Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Amadio, Michael
  2. Grosenick, Troy
  3. Grundström, Carl
Additional Details:
Grosenick is a AHL salary dump
Grundstrom was drafted by the Leafs, looks like a decent 4W option that just might be able to be a 3W if you have an injury or two.
Amadio is a 4W with 3W upside in case of injury for Toronto.
LAK
  1. Kerfoot, Alexander
Additional Details:
Kerfoot is moved to an organization that has a likely good 2 C in Vilardi and a good 1C in Kopitar. He acts as a stop gap until the next few C prospect come in and dominate, at which point he moves to the wing.

He fits as the 3C supplanting Lizotte, who moves to the wing.
Frk gets bumped to the 4th line.

Kerfoot is owed 2. 66m per year for the next 3 years. If in a year Byfield/Turcotte/Thomas make him expendable, he should be an easy contract to move for a better return than they gave as we wont be in as big a cap crunch.

TOR
  1. McIlrath, Dylan
  2. Pickard, Calvin
Additional Details:
Leafs take on 2 AHL cash dumps
DET
  1. Holl, Justin
Additional Details:
Red Wings get a decent D man, coming off a 'breakout' season.
Will be in their top 4

Red Wings would probably do that since it’s 2 AHL guys for an NHL guy but Holl would not be in our top 4. Hronek and Stecher are ahead of him.

Kings decline that deal, they have some of the best center prospect depth in the league and are not moving away prospects for an expensive Kerfoot. Kings want to use their space to get more picks, especially with so many teams against the cap.

This logjams Seider from playing which I don't like but I'm sure we could flip him for more.

Seider was loaned to the SHL (Rogle) so he can’t come back until that season is over which is in March. This would complicate it though since we signed Stetcher for 2 years and already have Hronek. Just depends on if you think you can flip Holl at the TDL for a decent pick which maybe doubtful given he’d be on third pair barring injuries.

Huuuuuge doubt Granlund signs for 1.75M for 2 years. 1 year prove me deal? Maybe (Even tho I doubt he signs under 2M), but 2 years at 1.75? That doesn't make a lot of sense tbh

Thanks! I agree their C prospect depth looks really good, which is part of the reason I think a 1 year stopgap 3C could be helpful in not rushing anyone.

In this deal, I see the kings using him as 3C this year, while their prospects get acclimated to the NHL. Byfield can take some draws on his strong side (if he starts on the 3W), and have an easier transition into the NHL. If after 20 or so games he looks good and comfortable, switch Kerfoot to his wing.

After the 2021 season, a few prospects are ready to make a jump into the top 9 he should be pretty easy to move.

His cap hit is 3.5 but his cash amount is 2.6 for the last two years.

Just my thoughts! Cheers mate
