Carlsson isn't worth a 2nd - 23 LHD, AHL defenseman. He could turn into an NHLer, but he's not going to play this upcoming season so he would only potentially play in the following season at 24 - but even that's not a guarantee.

Highly doubt we are protecting 1 year contracts like Zadarov and Jamark. Those guys are more then likely trade bait.

Columbus will keep even those middling picks rather than acquiring Kampf.

EDIT: for a little more depth on this response, we're way overstocked in our bottom-6 right now, so there's no real need for a guy like Kampf.

Lindgren is the only capable LHD the Rangers have not including prospects no chance they trade him. Not to mention that the pairing if Him and Fox is unstoppable
