Jets don’t need Gallagher as much as he’s valued here.
Jets are shopping for a top 4 D plus assets. Here they don’t get the primary thing they are shopping Laine for and Poehling who’s not on a good track rn. They’d decline.

Despite these rumors, my inside sources tell me it's fake. The TSN reporter got its source from someone who obviously had no idea what they were talking about. MTL management does not have a history releasing these kinds of things. No one knew they were even looking at Tofollio until they signed him and yet everyone thought they were going after Hall. In the end, they never even offered Hall a contract. Gallagher is not getting traded.
