TBL gets jobbed in that BUF trade. They’d get a better return selling them individually.

That would leave Buffalo at $63 million with RFA's (Evolving Hockey estimates)

    Sergachev (~$5.6 million)
    Cirelli (~$5.3 million)
    Reinhart (~$7.3 million)
    Olofsson (~$4.5 million)

    (total almost $23 million)

Tampa can get a better return for both Cirelli and Sergachev then Cozens and Ristolainen, Zero chance of Palat waiving for NJ. I can see Alex Killorn in Colorado.

Who doesn't want to go to New Jersey?
Young team, deep prospect pool, plenty of money, short commute to nice suburbs, brand new facility, etc.
Not on a lot of no-trade lists.

Ha, yeah, well, um, yeah...TB more likely in next season or two.

(other reason for TB > NJ would be taxes)

But was talking more generally, NJD isn't on many no trade lists.

Good thing we are still able to make trades after this.

Be foolish to turn that down

Uh no .. Tampa right now does not have a "gap" with age groups .. we have no "35ers" (Group A .. aging teams like Caps and Bruins) .. 1/2 are "30ers" .. Hedmen Kuch Stamkos TJ Palat Killorn Maroon Gourde McDonough .. and 1/2 are"25ers" .. Point Vaz Cirelli Serg Colemen Goodrow Cernek

VERY enviable structure to dominate for next 10 years .. BUT we can NOT sacrifice the "25ers" for the low end of the "30ers" .. that will kill the structure.. why TJ Gourde etc. Are critical to move ASAP .. I see no way all 3 RFAs aren't resigned .. even if you have to give away 3 to 5 draft picks ..

Longer term we have few very talented "20ers" .. Foote gone, 2#1s traded etc. But that a back burner issue for 2 years after we see the Syracuse kids play THIS year
