why is it that all these leaf proposals have dermott and mikheyev (who's in arbitration) signing for downright measly deals, well under market and role deals?

All the leaf players have seen what happens when you sign team friendly deals (johnsson and kapnanen), you actually think they re-sign for that cheap, especially for 1 year? Those aren't bridge deals, theyre dead man walking deals.

But then I guess any realistic contract proposals put the leafs over the cap.
