I doubt Toronto will be clearing cap space via trades with Edmonton. The Oilers will want to hang onto as many draft picks as possible, and would likely prefer to add more picks. They also don't have enough cap space to take on additional contracts, so player movement would have to involve money in for money out. At this point, it looks as though a LW for McDavid is about the only position Holland might be looking for, although another GM might pique his interest with a deal that could open up cap space while not adversely impacting his roster.

Something tells me that Kerfoot is not worth a 1st round pick. Not from CBJ, not from anyone. He just isn't.

That is a pretty big return for Engvall too. I don't see that much coming back. Perhaps a 3rd round pick alone if lucky?

The Weegar trade seems pretty much fair but, it also seems in this scenario it hinges on the other two trades working and those proposals just are not very realistic IMO.

Leafs dumping Engvall and Holl for way above their value. What else is new?
