Nylander, such a soft piece of baby **** that he's a league leader in offensive zone takeaways, scored more net-front goals than most other forwards in the league and singlehandedly drives offense every time he steps foot on the ice lmao

Delusional leafs fan is a good handle for you. zero hits. zero scrums involved. zero shots blocked. zero teammates stuck up for. zero heart.

He doesn't hit because he always has the puck. Also, he has half as many giveaways as Matthew Tkachuk, eclipses both of them in 5v5 production, and has way more takeaways, and he's signed at the same cap hit for twice the amount of years. I'd take him everyday of the week

Also, it's not 1983 anymore, PIMs and hits don't determine playoff success. Scoring does, and defence. Brady is terrible defensively, and while Matthew is better on that front, Nylander is much better in terms of offensive production and puck moving, DRASTICALLY better

But by all means, Matthew Tkachuk throws a body check in between turning the puck over 40 times, so I guess that means he's the better player

You sound like such an analytics fairy. Exactly what's wrong with the Leafs. look at Dubas' change of heart this offseason. He somewhat saw the light.

To be fair, the Tkachuks are capable of hitting people even while they have the puck. That's gotta be a bonus!

Dubas has never had a change of heart, his philosophy has always been draft and develop skill, and substitute it with grit and intangibles. Look at his junior teams and marlies teams. No doubt their embarassing loss to colombus maybe put an exclamation point on that though haha

Also, ik you don't like analytics because they're complicated, but you can take one look and see that Nylander generates gobs more offense than both of these guys, and turns the puck over way less.

nylander has more 5v5 production in the last 82 games than Barzal, Matthew, Pettersson, Aho, Eichel, Laine and Rantanen. With about 13% less ice time. That is all.

Not a chance in this world that Brady is better than Matthew. You're clearly going after OP by saying this but its plain wrong. I will say though the whole point of this ACGM is wrong and mean-spirited, Nylander is a great player in his own right but I certainly would never trade Matthew for him.

Joking aside, I personally am not a nylander backer, I think he's in between where the lovers and haters have him on here.

yeah i agree. He's a talented complementary winger that has the offensive up side of Max Domi but plays better defense

Ya pretty bang on, I think he can settle in on Matthews/Tavares wing as a consistent 70 PT guy. I know domi had more ups and downs but he also never had a c like those guys
