This is questionable because of Primeau's timeline, but solid signing nonetheless

Why not wait until next offseason, you know to make sure he doesn't just start sucking again? This is very strange timing.

Could have wait until he plays at least one game as a Hab, but its probably going to be a solid deal

Aaron Dell who’s 2x the backup goalie Allen is just signed in Toronto for 800k. This is a hefty dollar amount for a guy who will play 20 games

Now you have two inconsistent goalies making over 13m combined.

I get why they did this. But it still doesn't make sense.

We do, just confirms that we lose one of Tatar/Danault/Gallagher

In this case, safe would be waiting. This is a needless risk.

I doubt it. One of our defensemen would be a better choice for Seattle. Plus they’ll have a tonne of goalies to choose from.

Wrong, he’s not Seattle bait because there’s 8 other teams that have a better backup and will not be able to protect them for Seattle to choose from. They’ll take one of MTL’s younger skaters

I didn't think of that, it is a good reason. But Marc Bergevin plays a dangerous game giving all those extensions to guys that have never played a game with the Canadiens. What is going to happen if the line of Gallagher, Danault, Tatar, arguably their best line, all walk to free agency? This is a scary game.

One of them leaving was confirmed when Toffoli signed. This doesn’t make or break anything, but the extra $1.95 million makes things a lot tighter.

They already had Lindgren to expose as an RFA.

I do agree that Allen becomes appealing for Seattle. Hopefully, they take the bait and Bergy keeps his depth elsewhere.

Cap will be thight next year. I wonder if Bergy isn't spending to leave juuuuust enough to sign Danault and Gally to his determined amount (12M total IMO) .

These signings have nothing to do with it if all 3 walk. We can afford to sign 2 of them. If Byron and Kulak are traded, we should be able to sign all 3
