Dell is 100x better and more consistent than Allen. Even on a worse Defensive team. You’re smoking something

I would say they are close to equal but I agree with the consistency thing and the price difference too tho

**** off. He is ready already and is getting held back for literally no good reason. Allen is a fine backup but costs too much compared to other guys. I am fine with spending that $ on a backup but the value to dollar is horrible compared to someone like per say greiss

How is he ready already? His .908 in Laval says otherwise. He's a 21 YO that needs starter time in Laval.

Greiss 31 GP 2.74 GAA .913 SV%
Allen 24 GP 2.15 GAA .927 SV%

I know who I would rather have

Exactly what I expected from a troller like yourself

stfu you ****. dell had worse basic stats actually. but dell is more consistent and is more reliable and the cost difference is much more on dells side

Yeah I'm sure. Got proof for this or are you just speaking out of your ass?

dell maybe wasn't as good but he wasn;t shelterred and played very consistently he has very few bad starts this season while allen was more of a rollercoaster

Got proof or is all your personal opinion? Let me guess; Eye test

Proof, consistency over the last 3-4 years. Not to mention St Louis has had a better D core as well and Allen still couldn’t step up. It would be another 40 year cup-less drought for them if Binnington didn’t show up.

I shouldn't even have to verify what I'm saying because I know it's just a waste of time, but here you go. Your turn to say something with facts.

stop using eyetest you ****. Primeau is ready and seeing how he did this season shows that. I think he is ready to take on 35 games in the NHL and would be a better option as it develops him better than giving him the starting job in the AHL

Both goalies had 5 Star Quality Start %. Neither was sheltered. Try again

thanks for using real stats. clearly you can read as Dell was more consistent this year and 2 years ago as well. However tendys are shots in the dark. I ain't gonna lie Allen is a bit better than Dell but Dell is more consistent and wayyyyyyyy cheaper which is why I would rather have him

I'd much rather have a starting goalie with bad consistency than a fringe backup with good consistency. You need that if you are going to make the playoffs. There's a reason Dell only got 800k, nobody wanted him.

Ahh, well if you can’t agree that an almost 3M AAV for a washed up backup isn’t an overpayment than you are as lost as your favorite beloved Canadians GM. Cheers to you and another 30+ year cup less drought ! Your Franchise wasted a potential HOF’er in Price. The next Roy. Way to go Canadians

1.dell played more games and played with san jose who had terrible defence, 2. Dell played more games vs high-end teams than jake Allen

Allen 289 regular season games in the NHL, GAA 2.46 Save % 0.913 lifetime.
Dell 107 regular season games in the NHL, GAA 2.71 Save % 0.909 lifetime.

Allen has played almost 3 times as many games and still has better numbers than Dell

bruh what. Allen ain't a starting tendy lmao. obviously if I needed a starter I would take the better guy but this is for a backup position. I would want the weaker, cheaper, and more consistent backup as long as the skill difference is negligible.

If he continues what he did as a backup in St Louis, it's a good deal. Not losing much by exposing him to Seattle, assuming Primeau is ready for 21-22.

ok thanks for showing me that but I would rather have Greiss bc he is still good enough to get the job done and is cheaper than Allen

Facts 😂 but we at least try to ship Marleau and soon Thornton out to contenders to win each year and they still can’t.. soo it’s on them now. Plus that 2016 run, their best opportunity neither really showed up enough to hoist it .

it kinda is lmao. I also am a habs fan, I ain't clueless lmao. I may not be able to be a patreon to access advanced stats and **** like that but c'mon I think giving Primeau the shot he deserves is ideal as he will be our future starter and it could be the optimal development route for him
