Don’t mind the Fleury trade. I’d say they’re probably still a good 3rd liner and maybe one more top6 D away. They could be trade deadline pickups tho. I wouldn’t dump Perreault if we aren’t going to use the cap space

I don't think so, there's only 1 year left and he could more ice time in Detroit which has the chance of increasing his value enough to flip him at the deadline for another pick.

I was more dumping Perreault so that Maurice is forced to give the young guys a look. Haula/Vatenen could be a good use of the cap space I just don't know how much term i would want to give out.

Problem is that Detroit already has too many bottom six players so we’d treat him like a pure cap dump. If you look at a Detroit ACGM you will see how many guys I’m talking about.
