Description
Canes rumors over the last few days:
1) The athletic article that eluded to Dundon wanting the canes to be in position to go after Stamkos
2) All of these are mainly from friedman today
- Looking to move out gardiner
- Mentioned the canes are looking for a scoring winger in a conversation about Hoffman
- Mentioned the canes made a late push for Markstrom before he signed in calgary

Using these I looked at how the canes could potentially look into Stamkos. The idea behind the offer is that Tampa wants to take back as little salary as possible. I think 2 of the canes top 4 prospects a first and a 2nd is a lot of futures for a top player, but i dont see another way to structure the deal.

Hate nino as a cap dump because i think he provides a decent amount, but i would not see a way around it. Canes could still have cap for a goalie if they trade one out

Gardiner is not coming back to Toronto. Doesn't fit in the cap at all from Leafs perspective. I know you said any team, but why pick the Leafs to toy with our emotions?

That's not enough for Stamkos. He's injury prone but he's automatically the best goal scorer on that squad

    Not enough for Stamkos.

Before you cry injuries, let me go and make some Pesce and Hamilton deals and use that same argument.

Stamkos at 8.5 million is a bargain.

1st, Necas and a good prospect start the conversation and dont tell me a 35 point player is off limits for a 95 point player.

No way Holland can acquire another contract without shipping one back in return. Edmonton has less than $750,000 in cap space remaining and Ethan Bear hasn't signed yet. The team needs to be cap compliant on opening day, and is not able to move Klefbom to LTIR until the season begins.
