Yegor Rykov? I'd say maybe. He's playing pretty well on the best KHL team lol.

I think it works good. $6.7M to bring back Cernak and Cirelli on bridges right?

Yes, that would get them both back for sure. Moving Killorn gets Sergy back, and Paquette could be moved if a little more breathing room is needed.

does Johnson actually play center, and is he better than Strome?

Strome isn't as good away from Panarin. Johnson might elevate his game with him. Johnson plays fine at C.

Johnson plays Center. He was the center on 2015's "Triplets" line with Palat and Kucherov. With Point and Cirelli now clearly ahead of him at the position in Tampa though, he's been more of a third line player. I'd feel comfortable with him as 2C in Tampa, I'd just rather have Cirelli.

I like the plan...pretty well thought out.
A concern I have, though, is that it is all predicated on the Smith and Strome deals- both might prove to be a tough move- especially Strome (if expecting a return) because there is a chance the Rangers walk away from his arb award...if it makes it to the hearing.
Not crazy about 4 yrs of TJ @5M...but at least the next 2 years he would fill the 2C/3C void...but I guess that's where the 1st comes to play...nice job overall

Damn I like this. Don't think the Rangers go for it because they seem hellbent on having as much free cap as possible for next offseason and going shopping then

But *I* like it!
