What is Schwartzs Value

Created by: StLHockey
Team: 2020-21 St. Louis Blues
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 14, 2020
Published: Oct. 14, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
With all the drama surrounding Armstrong and Newport, I wonder Armstrong might look at dealing Schwartz this year if the right package comes along or the season goes sideways. So what would other teams offer for Schwartz?

he's very underrated I'm not sure he's one to be dealt out.

It will never be enough unsure

Probably the usual late 1st + a team's 4th-best prospect + conditional pick

I’ve always loved Schwartz, great player but had dealt with his fair share of injuries. I think if they had to move someone it’s probably Perron . They can sell high on him and replace him with Kyrou/Kostin/Thomas/Sanford/Blais

Add another 7 x 6.5m contract to the bucket haha. For real tho, a lot would have to change for it to look like the Blues would be fine without Schwartz. I don't think his replacement is something we have internally and I doubt we could find any better deals in free agency or trade. Altho I liked your idea of Ehlers for Dunn + ... that would change things.

I can’t fathom how bad our forwards would be down Schwartz and Tarasenko

I think we need to keep Schwartz. 7x6.5 should get it done.

Enough that he shouldn't be going anywhere.

When did he leave? That’s very good news if so. I’d expect Doug to hop on that extension after we finish up with Dunn

At some point we really can't keep handing those out to players who aren't elite at stuff tho. No better place to start than Schwartz. They're gonna do it though.

He left a few days before free agency started. He wants to stay a Blue for a long time, and I hope the Blues lock him up.
