Take out Holl he'd nrgative value for Buffalo... Engvall and a 2nd might get it done but he's not much value to them either since hey have a bunch of 4th liners and depth forwards already.

Neither Cambell or Dell are starting goaltenders. This would be a very bad move. The reason Campbell is happy right now is because he's a backup and the pressure isn't on him. They put him in the starting position immediately after he's gotten comfortable as a backup would totally derail him. If he's going to be a starter he needs a season or two at least as a #2 playing 30% of the games to get comfortable with the idea and get the confidence behind him. Making him starter now would derail him and Dell isn't a starter.

"Holl at negative value" ? At 2M as an RFA? You can never have too many good young RFAs ultimately, Buffalo can easily stash pilut/jokih in the AHL too.

Every mainstream hockey person I've heard mention him loves the way he plays, naturally, surprisingly mobile/tactful/dynamic... was impressed myself

I reckon like 25 total NHLers have legit negative value

Holl played decent last season but is still at most only a 3rd pairing guy. He is able to play on the second line if he needs too because of injuries but not for a long period of time.

How could you ever think you get Vrana with that package?

His is slight over paid too. I was just trying to dump his salary.

Lots of contracts WSH could jettison before having to unload vrana for nothing, I just don't get why they would unload one of their best young assets

It’s a little far fetched but if we threw in sand in I think it would get it done

The value is closer but still not there. It just doesn't make sense for the Caps anyways, even if it was Sandin and a 1st, the Caps are in win now mode and Vrana is a top 6 forward for them who (at the moment) is cheap. Trading Vrana hinders their chances of another cup when there is only a couple more years left of contention with Ovi and Backstrom.

Most of these trades are pretty unrealistic considering they favor Toronto heavily plus Campbell and Dell would probably be the worst goalie tandem in the league

Los Angeles isn't going to pay what is almost certainly going to be a top 40 pick for Kerfoot, let alone add a third. Given the current makeup of the Kings, it's unlikely that they would even pay the third.

So you are basically getting the same return for Kerfoot that you are giving up for Vrana?

Toronto AGMs...
