I don’t think Boston has interest in Orlov if he only plays the right side. He’d be behind McAvoy and Carlo

Kase, a bottom-6 winger yet you were trying to convince me that Panik could play up in the lineup couple weeks ago ok
Not even close for Panik/Carlo.

For the trade, pass, we have 3 good RWs for the first time in 6 years

Lol. Kase had 31 goals in 96 games with Ducks in a year and half before injuries set in. Healthy Kase ends up with more goals than Orlov does points.

Despite that, Caps decline.

I'd say WSH says no seeing as Orlov is logging 22 minutes a night, hits, blocks shots and puts up around 30 points a year with very little of it coming via the PP

I could see the Caps adding a 2nd round pick if the Bruins throw in McAvoy.

edited: heck, throw in Sprong, too, if depth at RW is an issue in Boston.

yeah you are confusing cap fans. I said Panik is a bottom 6. im a big fan of Panik bc he has really good possession numbers and he finished the season really strong but i never said " he could play up in the line up" =. As for Kase yeah hes a bottom 6... doesn't take a genius to figure that out lmfao. HE's actually pretty comparable to Panik. Orlov is worth way more than Kase long story short and make sure if you call someone out its the right person or you just look stupid. smile

Also Panik for Carlo was me saying how terrible Kase for Orlov is..... also Orlov is a LHD smile. you normally smarter than this

So WSH adds Sprong, who is Kase at a better cap hit, and Bos adds something that could possibly move the needle on Orlov, whatever that might be.

I may have jumped the gun and forgot Orlov was that good.
As for Kase, I disagree. He's a sniper that has average 22G/82 GP pace over the past three seasons and 92% of his goals have come at even strength. He's played on bad Anaheim teams and has had several injuries. He's looked good with DeBrusk-Krejci and I feel like he can be 25G-50 pts (82-game pace) guy if he stays healthy and Bruins can figure out their 5on5 strategies.

I qualify him more of a middle-six winger than bottom-6 (like Panik).

Fair enough. If hes able to score that much i doubt the Bruins would want to trade him. Didnt they pay a lot for him?

People see it as Kase for a 1st but it's not.
I see it as:
- Axel Andersson+half the value of first for getting rid of Backes (we retained 25%, not 50% (in this case, we would have to add more))
-other half of the first for Kase

I believe Kase would bring back a mid-second right now.

With his addition and now Smith, I really think it can work. But I know there's lot to prove.

that make sense. cant really argue that logic especially for what teams are paying to dump salary.
