They won’t compete for a playoff spot, but the Sens could be an interesting team to watch grow this upcoming season.

Good for the sens - gonna be a real good year for the team. Really happy for the fans but this is a really good move by management

I’d hold that thought - this team has a chance

Except for the fact that all the games might be against Canadian teams who are all better than them

That’ll be interesting lmao - it’ll be fun to see what the divisions look like - some real good rivalry hockey at the least if they don’t make the playoffs

we just needed guys on the team who were actually good and experienced to show the young kids how to play.

The biggest hole I see is down the middle. Right now this team has 3 number 3 centers occupying their 1-3 slots. One of their young guys can definitely step up and has the potential to be a 1-2 type of guy. But ultimately I would make an upgrade there. If they can get Stamkos or Cirelli, I think this team now turns serious.

Norris, Brown, Tierney, White can all play centre. I don’t think Stutzle starts down the middle tho

Tierney, Brown, White are all number 3 centres. Norris has the potential to be a number two (MAYBEEEE a number 1) but is unproven. They have a few other guys who fall in line with what Norris looks like also. So you are saying exactly what I am.

That's where Cirelli or Stamkos come into play. Proven number 1 in Stamkos or Proven number 2 in Cirelli. Would help shelter Norris/batherson types and push everyone down a line into a spot that better matches where they should be.

Yeah we could use a 1c but i think thats Stuetzle long term. the other can all be good middle 6c's but may need more winger support, which theyll likely have this year cause we shockingly actually added winger depth

what a hell of a deal for a 60+ point RW, this will help Brady allot IMO, less pressure on him from other teams as they will have to worry about Dadonov as well. Well done Dorion on this one, older than Duclair but hes a much better and consistent player

Definitely. But Stuetzle will probably take 3-4 years before he becomes a true number one. So Stamkos takes that roll until then and can help Stuetzle develop and grow. As Stamkos contract ends, Stuetzle may be ready to take over. So he is not forced into that spot when he is not ready.

ya id rather just stay the course, throw colin white or tierney out there at 1c until we get someone to fit in the timeline a bit better than stammer

I smell a center

Im more comfortable at centre with Norris, White and Tierney than I am at RD with Gudbranson, Zaitsev, Brown, Zub

If they can trade for Cirelli, I really think they should do it. They will need to give one of their good young prospects to Tampa for him (I.E a Norris type) but this would set them up super nicely in the short and long term. Cirelli is 23 and would be perfect for them.

idk if management wants TJ, couldve had him on waivers. He probably wont waive his NTC for us.

He'll probably be in Seattle next year, but it'll be interesting to see where he goes in the meantime.
