I strive to have your imagination, but I'm pretty sure Arizona doesn't have control over that 2021 1st anymore.

Isn’t the point of a rebuild to get younger and develop players to be stars? Not trade your best player for Jakob voracek???

Flyers aren't going to take on more salary, give up one of their best forwards, AND give a 1st round pick...even for Kane

I actually like that you brought this up. I’ve been trying to find an answer to that question. If someone trades for the Arizona first next year, can that team have it? Or is that pick officially erased?

Are you kidding? Upgrading from from Voracek to Kane is absolutely worth a 1st and a 3rd, not to mention Philly is getting a high 2nd round pick back in this trade. 2.25 million in extra cap is definitely not a deciding factor in acquiring patrick kane. Kane is still a top 10 winger in the game, probably top 5, Voracek is great, but he's nowhere near that. This trade would never happen, but what philly fan wouldn't do this trade?

unlikely that they get to trade it. What would the point of the punishment be if you could use it as a trade chip anyway?

That’s fair, I really wasn’t sure honestly.

I agree with mk458, essentially you have Voracek for Kane straight up, and you swap your first round for Chicago's second round. The addition of the third is extra but that's because you're getting arguably the best RW in the league (at least for the past decade).
