it would be a literal 180 if we get cernak, bottom dwellers to playoff hopefuls in a year. Will depend on the kids obviously but ya never know

I’m expecting Norris to have a Suzuki like season. Brown might get 30-35pts but whatever. Dadonov 55-60, Brady 50+, Stutzle 40, Chabot 60, Brannstrom 35, Batherson 45

Trade is the best option at this point. Unless we sign Hamonic for 1-2 years

I love the dadonov move. And hints at more moved by lebrun? I'm very curious what's next.
Selfishly I wanted another top 10 pick next year, which could still happen easily. But I love the insulation of veterans Dorion and company is putting on this roster. Minus Murray lol. the price paid makes it sting less but I wanted Hogberg to get a legit chance at the 1 role

not yet on playoff hopefuls, C core is too weak for now. Once Stutzle is hopefully ready for 1C and Norris for 2C, that's when the real fun will begin

I think Murray will bounce back in a huge way and be motivated. Dadonov is exactly what we needed. If we had to make anymore moves, get rid of Zaitsev and bring in Cernak or Hamonic

I think Norris will explode this year, he will probably be sheltered on the 1st line with Tkachuk and Dadonov.

I'm not doubting Norris. Lets say he gets even 50pts (which is certainly fair, if not a bit generous), you expect more from a #1C on a team in the playoff mix. I think in the future, down the middle having hopefully Stutzle and him will be great, but they just don't have their true 1C YET, and for that reason they won't make it.

But don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for them. I hope Stutzle can transition into a top C as soon as possible

I think we could roll 3 solid lines:
Tkachuk-Norris-Dadonov (wings can carry)
Stutzle-White-Batherson (this line would be electric)
Brown-Tierney-Brown (great energy line)
Paul-Anisimov-Watson (decent 4th line)

Btw Sens aren’t done yet according to multiple analyst. Could be another move coming for a centre or Dman

I dont see how Ottawa could possibly look at making another addition on the back end without at least one piece going out the door.

Unless Brannstrom isn't going to play this year, someone has to go, because we're already looking to be carrying two spares.
Chabot-Zaitsev
Wolanin-Gudbranson
Brannstrom-Zub
Reilly-Brown.
And this is before Jaros, who could very well get a 1 way deal in Arbitration.

After the way this offseason has gone, who the hell knows what Pierre "Wildcard" Dorion has up his sleeve, but there's really no way I see it working without Zaitsev and Reilly going or Zaitsev going and Brannstrom not playing

What would it cost for both Cirelli and Cernak? I’d include Thomson, Logan Brown, And picks. And mayeb 1 more prospect

If find it funny how Ottawa's top 3 centres all came from the Karlsson trade (Stutzle, Tierney, Norris) That was one hell of a trade by OTT

Would have to be multiple 2nds and multiple prospects. They'd be pretty firm on getting a 1st, and that's a complete non starter for me. Sens are still several years away from being established as good enough to be trading 1sts away. It's a move that if it were to happen, it should have happened when they had a third 1st to play with.
