    - I know this is a risky move but Vince Dunn is just such a perfect fit for this team. Dunn can step in and be Trouba's mate on the top pair, move Lindgren-Fox down, and let Miller develop on the third pair with DeAngelo. Dunn is likely to Re-Sign with STL but dreaming is also allowed on CF sometimes right?

Schenn will be sliding over to LW full time soon, Thomas will be a center full time. Who knows what we have in Tarasenko anymore. Perron is 32. Kyrou and Kostin are unproved. Blais is listed as a RW since that's what he came into the league as but he's left handed and played mostly LW last season. Buchnevich also can play both sides.

    I don't think so.

With Dunn we only have three surefire top four defenseman (Faulk is iffy, Scandella and Gunnarsson can pretend for a bit when riding shotgun to a better RHD but not ideal top four options full time). Trading Dunn for futures either means we aren't trying to contend anymore since we would be giving up a team controlled 35+ point defenseman who will outplay his sub-three million contract. But that doesn't track because we just signed Torey Krug into oblivion to keep the AAV low, presumably to contend right now. So if we are trading Dunn, it's for immediate scoring help up front. This trade doesn't help us in that regard.

When Perunovich is more established and Buchnevich is pushed out by Kratsov, Kakko, Panarin, Lafreniere, and Kreider, the Blues and Rangers can revisit a trade between those pieces.

Yeah but probably next off-season. We need Perunovich and Mikkola to establish themselves and you need Kaapo, Kratsov, and Lafreniere to push out Buchnevich but assuming neither has a crazy season that's probably fair.

They wouldn't. No one is getting Dunn without moving at least a 1st unless they have dirty pictures on Armstrong.

As we've discussed earlier, I would be open to a 1st, taking Bozak, ++
