Sorry for the tag guys, I just want to showcase my pipe dream Leafs lineup. What'd you think of it? Are they good enough to win the Stanley Cup?

There was a tweet in June 2018 by one of those rumour accounts that said he was willing to take less so the Leafs could bring in Tavares. Obviously that turned out to be false.

Core has enough offense. Could use a checking line.

Thanks for the feedback. I consider the Engvall-Kerfoot-Mikheyev trio a checking line. Probably not as good as Tampa's, but they've got loads of speed and will forecheck aggressively. All defensively responsible too.

ok so he didn't say it. Those rumour accounts are almost never factual. Please don't try to make it seem like it's a true fact and that he screwed the Leafs in that fashion, just stick to true facts. Its quite misleading

Since someone else brought this up....

I don't mind the tag, just make it a bit less frequent. Nobody else does this so it sticks out like a sore thumb when you do a post.

RE the thread itself. Just too optimistic. Theodore costs more than anyone not named Matthews and is likely untouchable. Obviously Laf is not to be moved either. I get that that is the point of this thread - a dream team, but it doesn't really abide by the logics of trade value.

I think Marners agent asked for 8x8 before his ELC was up but TO didnt sign it, big mistake. Not so much a rumor

That’s right, he never publically said it himself, the account believed that’s what Marner wanted at the time.

Nylander has played center at every level since coming to the NHL. He would be a top line center on Vegas for sure IMO.

Kerfoot is a really good player he’s worth keeping despite his small stature. I could’ve replaced Sheary and Simon with Martin and Clifford but at their best the former are objectively better. I think the team has plenty of grit. Lafreniere & Hall play extremely physical and Hyman, Mikheyev & Engvall are good forecheckers.

Playing center at every level doesnt make you a 1C lmao. He played center these playoffs and was a trainwreck
