I still think we need to change the dynamics in our Top 6. Fiala could bring a new spark and getting rid of Johnny (before his NTC kicks in) might free up some cap to throw a wild card (Dumba) on our defence.

Flames decline, they aren’t getting dumba after signing Tanev it would be a waste and gaudreau is way better than fiala

Wild trade away there 2 best chips and don't walk away with a center, but another LW. This is a awful trade for the Wild.

These Flames trades where we trade not to get better but just to make a "change" are pointless..

Having that type of $ tied up in a defense core (until the expansion draft where we can only protect 3) would make us the defensive equivalent of Toronto!
