I like most of what I see. Will Caufield play above and better than both Gally and Anderson? Personally I do not see it but if he does, it's a good problem to have. I am excited to see Norlinder. Good things are being said about him.

I think so after being rookie of the year prior. I think him and Suzuki could be the perfect balance. Maybe kk would be better for Caufield tho with his size but it’s all going to play out by who plays better together. Julien has always rolled his lines pretty evenly so it doesn’t really matter who plays 1st or 3rd line just produce

The way i see it, 2020 to 2022 , we should be playoff contender,

In 2022-23, the cap hit will hit big time as your post clearly shows. Suzuki getting paid in the areas you mention, and Weber still there. I think a 2 years retool will occur at that time, until Weber retires.
When weber retires, we'' suddenly have 8 miilion to spend on 2 top 6 guys, or one top 3 guy, this will make a huge difference.

In other words, because of Price and Weber contracts, we'll have a good team for a few years, but not a Stanley Cup team that can beat Mackinnon and friends !

I hope Weber is unprotected and Seattle picks him, but it is unlikely.

Can't afford to pay Weber 8 M cap space when he'll be 37 yrs. old.

They also expect the cap to go up in year 3 so there will be some relief and hopefully it goes on a steady rise year after year from than on
