It was his QO so LA didn’t really have a choice. But he won’t be playing in the NHL, so he only costs the Kings $60K.

It is not racist to sign someone solely because of the color of their skin. -LA Kings.

This guy is absolutely horrible and shouldn't be even close to the AHL. This is corporate virtue signaling.

Come on now. Plenty of AHL guys get NHL contracts even when the team has no intention of bringing them up. Even terrible ones like Brandon Baddock, Tyler Lewington, and Joe Cramarossa.

Imama just signed his QO; not everyone who busts gets released right after their ELC expires.

Is this **** going to happen every time a black player gets signed? You guys are ridiculous. There really is a race problem in the NHL and its fanbase.

Stop it. The Kings aren’t signing him because of the colour of his skin, they’re signing him because he can fight. I think there is a definite problem that enforcers still exist in the game, which is a valid reason to criticize this signing.

There are many AHL players who can fight and play better hockey that could be had for cheap, don't kid yourself.

The Kings just hired Blake Bolden as a scout because she's black and female. She doesn't know anything about scouting, at all. This is a pattern in LA we've been seeing for quite some time. LA is a very diverse and liberal community. In order to sell tickets they have to please these people. It's common sense.

Can you stop while you're ahead? Most scouts don't know how to scout: she was brought on because she has an entirely different perspective on the game than every other white guy that's been through an NHL's front office. The modern NHL requires you to capitalize on what your opposition doesn't know. Every edge needs to be considered. Bolden's an accomplished hockey player: good on her for continuing her career in the sport. I hope she's an inspiration for countless other young girls to chase that dream.

Your insistence on her skin colour being the focal point is inappropriate and it isn't tolerated here. Enough.
