I like Pettersson. But with P.O-Joseph, in all reports, NHL ready. And now that we traded for Matheson(who I hope has a good season and gets drafted in the expansion draft), He is expendable. Even though he’s affordedable, a top 4 d-man, and only 24 years old. If we could bring Trocheck back to Pittsburgh(where he was born), and get B.Pesce for Letang, Petersson and Z.A.R, I think most Pens fans would say yes.

Letang isnt an Elite defenseman anymore my man. Sorry, he’s 33 years old, 34 next season. He doesn’t stay healthy enough. And isnt even when healthy. Obviously he doesn’t know who V.Trocheck or B.Pesce are. Trocheck would be a real “elite” 3rd line Center. Pesce and Pettersson are equally valued D-fenceman. Letangs Contract is up in 2 years, get value while you still can. Sorry, people in pittsburgh are in a bubble when it comes to hockey, a lot of sports to folllow in Pittsburgh. He has no clue who Trocheck or Pesce are.

The guy still scored 44 points last year for a defenseman while playing half the season with Jack Johnson as his d pair, plays 25+ minutes a night, plays in all situations. Imagine what he would have done without an absolute anchor holding him down. The guy was the healthiest core player we had last year too btw. Obviously you don’t know who V. Trochek or Pesce are. Or maybe you’re not a pens fan and don’t know who Letang and Petterson are 🤷‍♂️. Trochek hasn’t topped 38 points and 11 goals the last two years. The D you’re trading had more points and more goals playing with an anchor in 1 less game last year. Then you want to add Petterson who had a comparable year stats wise to Pesce except had a ton more hits. And add ZAR on top of that. Yikes

Lol, quite aware of Letang and Pettersson. You don’t even spell Pettersson name right bud. V.Trocheck had injuries in 2018-19. He only played 55 games. Look to 2017-2018 and past when he played full seasons. 31 goals, 75 points in 81 games.

It’s called autocorrect. Cool story, that was 3 years ago. Letang only played 61 games last year and had more points as a defenseman than Trochek either of the past 2 years. You’d make a brilliant GM. Buy high on a guy at his lowest point 👍
