TB frees up over 3mil in cap space, while bringing back two mid-high prospects in mammoth Ratcliffe and RD Wylie, a 2nd and G prospect Sandstrom, while avoiding the risk of losing Cernak to just a 2nd in offer sheet, which looks increasingly likely as no one has shown interest in Johnson, Killorn or Gourde and all of these teams are capping out daily. TB cant take back a salary and even though Cernak is young good and not overly expensive, this would be an offer (no salary back and a fair amount of talented prospects) that might make sense.

Voracek is a top 6 player, but in this lineup, hes the feeder/creator/veteran to the two young guys on the 3rd line, with frost getting Giroux and coots.

The only reason its over 3M cap space freed up is because you signed him to a 3.2M long term deal. On a short bridge deal there is no way he gets that much

As for no one showing interest, ita still very early in the offseason and Hoffman hasnt signed yet. There will be callers after he signs

True, but TB has to move out over 10 mil in salary (Stamkos alone maybe), but I'm not sure 2 of cernak, cirelli and sergachev take bridge deals. My earlier take was that in order for PHI to get Cernak, theyd have to take Johnson for roughly the same return, wich to me makes sense depending on what cirelli and sergachev take
