Description

Implying there's no trade

Bergevin says he's done but remains open to listen to calls ; i.e. he's not actively trying to clear cap like Byron or Kulak. I doubt they're moved.

Weal sent in Laval and not claimed = 700k cap

Juulsen could be kept in the NHL roster to avoid the risk of losing him to waivers, but no 13th forward. If there's an injury, we could do like Tampa and go for 11 forward and 7 D.

If we risk losing Juulsen to waivers, we could sign 700k forward.

Good options that possibily accept 700k if they're not offered better

teams are so close to the cap that we'll see lots of players sign for 700k even if they deserve more

Nieto or Pysyk for example

so we can hope we get a player than Lewis for that price, like Sheahan.

edit: Actually, Lewis does the job. Vet presence bonus. Replace Sheahan with Lewis sure

Can't see Chucky taking 700k... he'll either do 1.5-2mil or sign with KHL like Grigo and come back in a year or two after improving his stock.

Not much teams would have up to 2m to give to him. Detroit can't sign everyone

That's my point : teams will be able to sign players well below their value because there is 0 demand at their market value
