Habs Dynasty

Created by: Steve_321
Team: 2020-21 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 16, 2020
Published: Oct. 16, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This adds insane depth to Jets, a team struggling with injury, plus the 2nd highest ranked D-MAN in the draft AND a 1st. In return, this makes MTL a legit cup contender, by adding a deadly sniper to the PP and basically creating three great lines. Possible MTL could end up with one of the top PPs in the league with this change. Such a win-win.

Next Year up-front Habs Protect:
Gally, Anderson, Toff, Danault , Laine, KK, Armia(?)

2 bottom pair d-men and a bottom 6 forward are not the pieces the jets are looking to get for laine. They're trading him to make the team better now. Also ghule wasnt the 2nd best d-man in the draft, not even really close

3rd line Laine. That will go over well. I'm sure he would love to re-sign with MTL.

i mean he went as the 2nd d-man - so to say not even close is slightly hyperbolic lol

he went as the third behind sanderson and Drysdale, but was definitely not a consensus third best d-man anyways

Why do Habs fans send Lehkonen, kulak and mete places, as if they are worth something. Take a look at the ufa list, these guys are solid players, but there’s a ton of players looking for jobs just as good or better

im sorry but this is horrible. You literally gave up tatar for nothing, the winnipeg trade yikes, oh and superstar Josh Anderson on the 1st line but Laine on the 3rd line that will totally help them. I would be embarrassed if I ever did something like that

unpopular opinion but for how low Guhle's ceiling is he shouldn't have even went in the 1st round.

i had him as the 6th best d-man behind sanderson, drysdale, schneider, Wallinder and Barron. Evidently, i am not a scout but i know im not the only one low on him

change the team to Ottawa, and change the pick to a 7th rounder. It doesn't really matter, we have tons of picks.

Boy... habs fans, can we make an effort not to antagonize every fan base with ridiculous trade for their best players.

It gives us a bad reputation, builds up resentment and make it harder to have legitimate hockey discussions

It would be weird for NSH to flip Cousins, immediately after signing him as a UFA. It could hurt them in the future, as other UFAs could be hesitant to sign there, if the Preds pulled a stunt like that. That being said, they should jump on that proposal. That's an insanely good price for Tatar, and his salary is uber-reasonable for a veteran top six forward. Even if they're out of the playoff picture, I could see Tatar getting them a 1st or more at the deadline.
