This is a solid team, but I'd swap Jost and Compher -- Jost is terrible at faceoffs and hasn't really earned 3rd line minutes over Compher in my eyes. I'd also adjust the D to something like Toews/Graves - Makar / Girard - Johnson / Toews/Graves - Cole

That contract is way too low for Toews. If Graves got over $3M AAV, gotta think Toews is gonna get more.

And agree with villenash on the defensive pairings. Will be interesting to see if Byram ends up making the team or if they find an international league for him. If he's here, highly doubt he's the 7th guy. He needs to play.

Same comments as others on AAVs for Jost and Toews. I don't mind your defensive pairings though. I tend to think Toews will be with Makar and Graves with Cole, which leaves the Girard, Johnson pairing intact, but no one really knows. It's fluid anyway.

I also actually like Jost at 3C, as I think he's trending that direction. His FO% is a concern, but hopefully he has been working on it and can show improvement. Compher isn't outstanding in that regard either, so he doesn't have to improve too much in that area to get the job. Regardless, I'm definitely fine with a bit of optimism for certain guys for the opening lineup. Jost can be that guy.
