It has been reported WPG wants a top 6 center and a top 4 D-man for Laine. What could teams offer that WPG would even consider?

with getting perfetti, it has probably shifted more to getting a real stud defenceman instead of a center and dman

I think with getting Perfetti the Jets would be leaning more to a defenseman first. Another center would be great, but I believe they would be looking for a legit young top 4 D as the main piece. Right handed would be my guess.

However, most rosters are pretty set now so I don't think he'll move before next season unless an equal salary in/out trade is somehow constructed.

That top 4 Dman needs to be over 6' and 200lbs too...we have too many small guys

Probably going to need a third team to take on some cap and make it all work. Flat cap going to make it interesting and without a longterm deal In place, but still some team control. I wonder if it turns into one or the other and some cap saving. Possibly a center with some picks, and or a dman and some picks with the cash strapped

I actually think with the draft, Stastny, Forbort, Demelo that the Jets may accept a more futures heavy deal than they would have earlier. Like one good, young defenseman and picks or prospects or something along those lines.

For futures, would you think it would be prospects or picks?

I think it could be a combination. One main roster piece and then picks and/or prospects to fill out the rest of the value.

Chevy may still hold to something different, but I think a more futures heavy package would be more palatable now than before the draft and free agency.
