I know Hutten sucks, that is why Buffalo would want to improve their goaltending situation and Toronto could play the hot hand with Hutton/Campbell/Dell.

Sabres won't make the deal for one year of Andersen. Why would the Leafs even consider trading for Hossa. More ridiculous LTIR nonsense.

Why wouldn't they? Free up cap space once the season starts for trade deadline moves....seems smart to me. It is just money and MLSE has boat loads of it.....

Buffalo would never trade a top-4 defenseman with his entire career ahead of him for one year of Freddie Andersen.

They would if they thought they could resign him.

Sub Joki and Sandin.

Would Tor trade Sandin for Anderson?

Didn’t think so

Leafs would think about trading for Hossa if it was a viable option. But, it isn't. The way Hossa's deal is structured only has him being paid 1 million in actual cash. Arizona has no need to trade him therefore Toronto would never even try.

Now, repeat what you just said to yourself: Buffalo would trade a potential top-4 defenseman on an "if they thought they could re-sign him."

Does that sound like intelligent asset management?

The next time the Sabers use intelligent asset management, will be the first time. They need to show Hall that they mean business if they want to resign him, not to mention keeping Eichel happy! He would be the best goalie in Buffalo since Hasek.

???? Hossa does not free up cap space...what nonsense. So the Leafs give up pick to have Hossa on the books? Just more silly LTIR foolishness.
