Agreed. Just give him what he wants and see what he does with it. Ehlers-scheifele-laine will produce more anyway imo. Connor can get his easy pickings with Stastny just as easy as scheifele.

I'm holding out hope. Yes I saw the comments, but if we play Laine on the top line and give him the minutes he's looking for, I could see him changing his tune. I don't see the issue in trying it out, but if he doesn't succeed, yes maybe it's time for a change. It's not like he's demanded a trade or won't show up to camp or anything like that though.

The Scheifele-Wheeler bromance has cost them two first round picks (by having to trade for Stastny and Hayes) and their goodwill with Laine and Roslovic. Had they just moved Wheeler to the 2C position in the first place, the captain would have done more for his team than anything. We should have had Ehlers-Scheifele-Laine, Connor-Little-Wheeler or Connor-Wheeler-Roslovic whenever Little was injured.
