I would like to be able to do a trade like this also. Doubt Tavares waives to go anywhere. Also doubt Dubas would ever ask him to waive.

With the whole "leaf blanket" thing it makes it hard to trade Tavares. But moving one of your #1C for a #2C and #2Lw or #2RW would balance the lines and give a lot of depth to the team.

I think it good value wise, but the leafs need Tavares' permssion to trade him. However, with his bud Pietro in Vegas, maybe he'd waive... I'd still miss him.

I thought marchessault played center. He did for vegas on their first year. My point is about getting a #2C and good winger for the same cap as Tavares
