I don't think NSH is really looking to add to their forward group now unless it's a top 6 forward - they've already added Kunin, Cousins, and Richardson to their bottom 6 (Kunin may play 2nd line), so I don't think they need Engvall; they'll just fill out the rest of the roster with their own prospects. I think the value is fine, but the timing is off.

Doesn't make sense for Columbus at all. We trade the better, younger, and cheaper goalie and forward in this trade. Don't need Liljegren or to dump Dubinsky that badly

To me it depends on where they see themselves.
I agree that Foudy has a higher ceiling than Kerfoote in the long run, but if Columbus thinks they are in a win now mode, perhaps they go for a reliable player in Kerfoote. They get rid of Dubinsky, and gain Anderson for cheap which they can then resign (He would play even better with the Defense core Columbus has in front of him). With Savard getting older, I can't see them saying know to a prospect RHD like lily.

Again, it depends on their mindset.

These Leafs trades, like 90% of them, are delusional.

The issue for me is the need, Columbus doesn’t need a 3rd line center and doesn’t need to dumb Dubinsky and doesn’t need Anderson.... Foudy should play a major role in 2 years as the 2nd line center when Domi likely walks. Columbus also likely doesn’t have the cap room to keep Anderson.

Columbus already has Peeke who is in a very similar spot to Liljegren so we don’t need him that much. Honestly Columbus needs offense more then they need defence.

Imo one of the few trades I’d make for Foudy right now is for Robertson. Both are NHL ready forward, and with the Domi acquisition adding Robertson to skate with PLD and Bjorkstrand or with Domi and Atkinson that add ant other top 6 shooter that Columbus is missing on the LW, but we all know Toronto isn’t moving Robertson just like Columbus isn’t moving Foudy.
