I wouldn't touch that if I was BUF. I'm a big Zibby fan, but he doesn't have the term to make that deal make sense for BUF.

I certainly agree. Do you feel an extension in place would work for them?

Appreciate the feedback. I don’t know if I’m jumping to conclusions that Kevyn Adams’ additions have put the Sabres in a position to make a savvy trade such as this one or the team is still taking a slower approach?

I think the issue is that he will certainly want a large raise and we have big money tied up in Eichel, Skinner and upcoming in Dahlin, possibly Hall, possibly Reinhart.

I'd perhaps ask you to take SOME money back.

Hmm. I assume you imply a long term deal? One of the right shot defenseman? Okposo?

Can't have an extension with 2 years left. This seems more like a Duchene type thing that needs a 3rd team involved to make work.

Ahh. That didn’t work to well for a certain team or two so may not be the best to bare fruits with this one.

As tempting as it is... I would decline if i am Buff. Two future NHL centers >>>> one current NHL center

No thx. This does not work, we do not have and will not have a cap for this. Moreover, I would not want to trade Cozens and Peterka, and Adams has already traded for 2C in the person of Staal.

You can't extend a player..two years away from UFA. Always there is the very impractical silly discussion the Rangers would have with Zigs. "We don't want you anymore, so hurry up and sign an extension so we can trade you off our team. But if you don't can't reach an agreement you are always welcome back to the Rangers family"

When did I say the trade was made this off-season? Clearly this is for next year.

We all thought that since it literally says that this trade is made in the 2020-2021 season
