That offer has absolutely nothing to make the Blues consider parting with two cheap key youngish players. Sorry.

That begging the wild to take okposo has zero incentive. Vegas couldn’t give away fleury for a 2 year contract with a 1st and you wanna give away okposo for less with longer term? Rofl. You’d need to throw in Dylan cozens for the wild to be interested.

Their gruesome cap situation does however 😃

Good job giving out NTCs like candy Doug you clown

Seems fair to say STL may be stuck with a non ideal return for Dunn if they can't get guys to waive, I'd just jettison Sund/Bort/Blais if needed personally but...

St Louis has to shed cap because they are already over limit and can't afford to sign Dunn since they signed Krug. The reason teams are moving key players at discount prices is because teams are too tight up against cap and can't move players with NTC, thus having to move younger players.

Is this entire board entirely clueless of the Blues cap situation? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!

While true, Dunn could be moved for prospects or picks (like Toews) so the Blues don't have to take a crap return. Plus,Steen may be done (no one knows) so that will ease some of the financial burden.

I think this is clueless of what every other team wants and needs.

Vladi and Steen will start the season on LTIR. Apparently Steen May be on there the whole season. That is almost 13M in cap space and even if it’s just Steen the 5.7M is plenty to resign Dunn. So let’s stop with the foolishness. Armstrong has already come out and said they won’t have to move anyone else to be cap compliant at the start or the season. So if we’re moving Dunn it will be for a real return and not that pile of spare parts and castoffs on here

Erm, no the Blues are not in cap hell now that Petro is gone. I'm not sure how you got any of this idea.

1- What are you on about, dude? Our cap situation is nowhere near gruesome, and I'm baffled at how so many around here seem to have that wild misgiving.

2- Umm no. Gosh, thanks but no thanks to a Preds fan for advice on how we should shed a bunch of valuable cogs from our team.

And this isn't just a "non-ideal return" - this is a pile of stuff we don't need (a C, a back-up G, a young LD, etc.) for two important members of the team. It's a larceny attempt with no merit.

Eating 3 years of Okposo at 5M costs more than a lottery protected first two years from now
