Description

TBL trades Killorn and Paquette for draft picks, saving $6.1m in cap space.
TBL trades Tyler Johnson and rights to RFA Cernak to Ottawa for Nikita Zaitsev (Ottawa retains $1m of $4.5m cap) and Marian Gaborik's contract. TBL does the "Marner move: Cap ceiling rises to $86.375m in off-season and falls back to $81.5m when TBL moves Gaborik's $4.875m contract to LTIR at start of next season.

More LTIR nonsense that Gaborik is going to help Tampa Bay cap.
Only reason Ottawa would make the deal is if they think Johnson is worth his 5m X 4 cap hit it (they don't). Plus why does NTC Johnson leave Tampa for Ottawa ?

This is creative.. LTIR is something not discussed yet .. Stamkos.tp LTIR as a holder until later in year makes ALL kind of sense .. Not sure Tampa makes day 1 cap without some LTIR
