Chiasson for Ritchie is more than fair would keep p russell as a depth forward.
Wouldn’t do the jersey trade russell is a perfect veteran d the team could really use without klef around also provides Barrie a defensive partner letting Barrie join the attack

I know you really like some Oilers players but if the OIlers could move Russell they should be all over that can easily replace him with better Dmen for cheaper in this offseason still Koekkoek, Hutton, Kulikov (not at 3.5M like above that's too high) are all better then Russell at this point.

Yes and no. I do like Russell think he’s sound defensively and the perfect type of player to partner with Barrie. Yes can get better for cheaper right now but how much incentive willing to pay for another team to take on russell instead of just signing those other options instead? That’s a price I don’t think is worth exploring since he’s good enough for the role and that cap space is going to be more useful next year with yam and nuge contracts expiring.
