Honestly I think Edmonton would be hurt the most in a Canadian division. Just way too much speed on the other teams. Yes McDavid is really fast as are a couple other players but most of their team is slow. And their defence sucks. They would finish low I think. TO is first though for sure.

1. Montreal
2. Calgary
3. Toronto
4. Edmonton
5. Vancouver
6. Winnipeg
7. Ottawa

IMO Montreal and Calgary are the best canadian teams. Toronto is also right in that conversation. I think if Toronto can upgrade their goaltending they'd easily be the best Canadian team. I think Montreal got really good this offseason adding toffoli and anderson. Calgary also improved adding markstrom and Tanev. Toronto improved too adding brodie and thornton!! I think from 1-3 is a mix up. I have WPG and OTT as the clear cut 6&7 though. Yes I'm a WPG fan and think this LOL

For me it's between the leafs, montreal and calgary. It's a coin toss really.

Beyond that, Ottawa has the potential to be a sleeper team but likely finish last, then in the middle you have edmonton, vancouver and winnipeg as the mediocre middle. Vancouver does have much more hope than the other 2 though, depending on how their new additions + holtby/demko work
