Jankowski is just as good and more upside than Haula. And for a league min. contract. Everything you read says JR is happy w/ Janko as a 3rd line C. and expects them to unleash his potential. Atleast he is really good defensively and good on the PK. I hate to tell u but Janko is our 3rd line Center to start the year.

Let's not go that far. Jankowski has 30 point potential with high end shut down ability, but Haula is significantly better offensively if he can remain healthy. Haula would be the better potential, but the risk is much higher too.

Haula is older and coming off his 3rd team. You know what u are getting. Janko is a 1st round pick. Coming off 3 years w/ 1 team. 17 goals, 25 points and 14 goals, 32 points. And let’s not talk about last year. But last year is easy to write off. If he had a descent year last year. Or just improved alittle, the narrative would be totally different. And he’d be a big free agent. A young, former 1st round pick, with 3 descent years, ready to break out w/ a change of scenery. But with last year in there, now it’s a player that people hope they can unlock his potential, and get him back to atleast a 14-17 goal season.
