In his defense, Murphy = 1st,
So it's basically Hoglander to move Eriksson contract

I doubt the Aves would still do it BUT if they did I bet they win the cup. How about

Kane @ 6M + Conditional 1st 2024 (if Aves don't win the cup by 2024 then they get this) for Byram and Newhook

lol

It doesn’t matter there is a thing called the salary cap and what Byram and Newhook represent a top pairing stud dman and a top 6 C on elc are worth more to COL than Kane.

....ur really about to turn down Patrick Kane on a 6 million dollar cap hit for 2 unproven players on ELCs....? Walking a fine line between believing in your young talent and being a homer. Kane would easily put them over the top for a championship, can you really say the same about 2 unproven players?

Rangers aren't in position to surrender the ask for Kane or Toews.

Rangers would make that deal. It exactly the deal they would make, honestly. But I don't think Toews is available.

No, I really don't think they would. Why trade for a aging and expensive center?

Byram and Newhook might represent a top pairing stud d man and a top 6 C or they might turn out like Bogosian and Yakupov. That's why they are called prospects.

The above trade proposal is from a Chicago perspective because if we are to trade him, we would retain a lot to maximize value in our best interest. For a team like Colorado, having a player like Kane would most likely put them in the same conversation as the Lightning as far as "stacked" is concerned and likely Stanley Cup favorites, while simultaneously shortening their window of contention. It's kind of a trade off. I can understand Colorado wanting to lengthen their window of contention. But the value is absolutely there, especially for a team like Colorado that is set up to win now.

If I was Colorado, I probably wouldn't do it because having 10+ years without needing a rebuild is very beneficial financially and I would have enough faith in the team as is. Which is why I mentioned a conditional pick going to Colorado to help minimize the risk.

He's be at $6m with retention, here.
He's a C, he PKs, he skates, he leads., good size, experienced winner... Literally everything they are looking for.

At the cost of a pick they don't need, a back up goalie, and a guy who didn't do well in the ahl? I love Kravtsov, and I don't like Toews. But this is a trade I think they make. If the rangers don't want to move Kravtsov, have it be Chytil instead.

But why Toews? he does not fit our timeline.

I'm not arguing that. We're just not going to offer this return for him. It's nonsensical in our position as a team.

Lol, come on.

I could almost guarantee you that your GM would make this trade in a second. You aren't giving up that much. Georgiev is your future back up goalie who's worth a 2nd. The 1st is going to be late and yes Kravtsov is the main piece. Yes he's a great prospect, but let's not get carried away. This is an extremely reasonable offer. If anything it's bad for Chicago

When did I ever say it was an overpay or anything similar? We don't have the appetite to make moves like this. If Toews was younger and cheaper it'd be of consideration.

This site puts too much value on prospects. If you read how many prospects are "untouchable" you'd think there would be 100 new hall of famers per draft year. The bulk of the prospects don't turn into superstars.

If you say so, but like I said, I guarantee you if this trade was proposed to the Rangers. They would say yes.

If Toews was younger and cheaper, it would start with Lafreniere hahaha
