That is a pretty damn good package for Laine IMO.

Pretty hard to refuse that. I'm sure some Jets fans will say otherwise.

Absolutely no way should Ottawa be doing this. Laine is an incredible scoring threat, but he's a really flawed player and not what the Sens need. No way on earth should Ottawa be trading a prospect like Brannstrom when their blueline is as terrible as it is, and there's absolutely no way Ottawa should be trading a 1st in a year they almost certainly will miss the playoffs.

Hard to say the poster has this for 2022/23. 2 more seasons tp play, maybe Laine scores 60 each year. Maybe Brannstrom doesnt pan out.
I like Brannstrom and maybe Pinto and a 1st.

we got a team... so sense giving Laine for half a team, quality over quantity

half a team? This package is full of quality. No one is giving you Werenski or Ekblad or players like that 1 for 1 for Laine at this point.

Yikes... massive overpay by Ottawa...

Our 2nd best prospect and a likely top 10 pick plus other quality assets for a guy who will be overpaid. Pass...

Please keep him... we don't want to pay Laine 10M per season and then have him slack off after he gets paid.

Really want too... kinda out of my hands though :/

Dreaming of an Ehlers-Perfetti-Laine line in the future

Can't believe Perfetti slid that far. You can thank Buffalo and Ottawa... lol

I agree with the other Jets fans. The only interesting pieces for Winnipeg are the first and Brannstrom. If Brannstrom has panned out by 22-23 this could work, if not then there's nothing really in it for Winnipeg. Ottawa is too cheap too pay good players anyways.

picks and prospects we don't need...

picks r always good but doesnt help a team win now
D depth is good, got young prospects in the pipeline.. Samberg, Heinola (dont need more) and center depth is good as well.. Scheif, Stasney (Perfelli gapstop) and Copp so dont need anything there

maybe alot from your standpoint... but doesnt really help us

lol i know, he'll fit in perfectly with all our snipers and fills a masive hole here

at the same time i get why BUF and OTT did what they did

BUF wanted a winger for Eichel and were confident enough in Cozens to reach a bit and OTT was looking further ahead.. Sanderson's probably a reach sure, but EXACTLY what u want and need in the playoffs

So many posters don't understand that. They think if they've given what they think is sufficient or more value, that you are crazy to not accept the deal. Most don't realize that team needs and where the team is in their development arc is at least as much if not more important than just "value" in a vacuum.

I really like Brannstrom but the Jets have enough D like him already, if anything they really need a top RHD or at the very least a RHD who can grow into that role.

I think Ottawa should have drafted Drysdale...

Buffalo made a big mistake. You draft the best player available, not for positional need. Buffalo should have drafted Rossi or Perfetti, not Quinn.

The Vancouver Canucks could have taken Tkachuk but took Juolevi because they needed defense. Big mistake...

No lol. I’m not one of the Laine lovers, he isn’t as good as a lot of jets fans seem to think he is. Although I do think he would have a chance to breakout under a competent coach

This package makes no sense. And that 2021 1st would better be top 10 protected...
