First of all they have NMC and I doubt they waive for rebuilder such as Detroit or Ottawa. Also you’ll probably have to retain on all those contract. For Toews and Kane I’d say good prospect and a 1st, for Keith I’d say good prospect or a 1st

Rebuilding teams don't surrender good picks, Detroit declines and Kane wont waive for Detroit anyways.

So, they’re fed up, but then waive to go to more bottom feeders?

Makes sense

Y'all are sleeping on how nice a deal that is for Ott

Ottawa with the Tierney to Toews upgrade and emerging young core, Dadonov Murray etc. come close to the playoffs so the 1st becomes like 15th

Tierney + 15thoa + 45th + 75th for Toews? Sweet

Nothing amazing naturally & the 22 draft is A+ but

Very worthwhile for them & maybe quite positive

Do you have a reputable source that backs up these claims?

Yea... Duncan Keith doesnt get you a top prospect and two picks. Nor does he get you a 1st like mentioned above. Duncan Keith for 5.5m for his age 37, 38 and 39 season doesnt get you anything net positive. He is a salary dump and would have to have sweetener added. Also one of the few recapture contracts left in the NHL. Wonder what his penalties are.

Are you sure that wasn't a list from 2015-16 or earlier? When the Wings were good.

Wings not trading a 20 year old and a top 5 pick next year for a 31 year old veteran. Makes zero sense.

All three are highly movable, if it came to that, despite their salaries. I think these are just the wrong teams.

The Toews deal closest
