I can't see the Leafs making a run at the cup with this line up. Brodie might help some on the back end but it will be interesting to see how he plays in Toronto. With what is likely to be a compressed schedule this year as a result of Covid, I think older players are more likely to wear down and not have much in the tank for the playoffs. I know lots of people in Toronto are excited by recent additions but I can't see it working out well for the Leafs.

Robertson is in the minors and will share the icetime with Vesey.

Yep, your top prospect share time on the 4th line..what does that even mean? He’s a healthy scratch? U can’t bounce a player back and forth from the minors on a daily basis or weekly basis??lol. That’s why there is a 22-23 man roster. Which goes against your payroll. So the players that share time, when they don’t play, they are in the press box. Do u even watch Hockey?

And Dermott was offered 895k by Toronto. If another team offers him 1.395M or more, they have to give up a 3rd round Pick compensation. And Toronto lets him walk and takes the 3rd round pick and doesn’t match it. So how is he getting paid 1.5M?? Some people just post to just post and know nothing, or don’t read anything on the team.

I disagree that they let him walk for that. They lowballed him so that he either takes that, negotiates for cheaper than he would have, or gets less in arbitration. Also yes he was offered around 895k because that's like literally his qualifying offer

He’s not arbitration eligible buddy. Come on man. He has no leverage. He will sign the 895k contract. He has no other option unless another team offers him. And if they offer him 1.395M or above, they give up and 3rd round Pick compensation. And I guarantee Toronto takes the 3rd round pick and let’s him walk. They can’t match it, not w/out trading someone.

Arbitration hearings are already set for all eligible players. Mikheyev is set for sometime next week I think. I don’t remember exactly. U can google it. But Dermott isn’t arbitration eligible man.
