Sutter can only be bought out if a 2nd buy out window opens if Jake Virtanen takes the club to arbitration. Then a buy out opens up within 48 hours that's the only way or Vancouver has to wait until after next seasons Stanley Cup.

Incorrect. The filing of the arbitration triggered the 2nd buyout window. The 48hr window takes affect once the arbitration is awarded or when the the player is signed.

Also the Canucks are only able to buyout a player with a SPC $4m or higher.
