Marner has 21 points in 25 playoff games, not sure what your point is.

If we look for comparables, he blows $9.25Mx6 Mikko Rantanen out of the water in both primary and secondary assists, as well as defensive play and play-driving.

Marner is at minimum worth 9.25, and probably closer to 9.5 given tax differences and his ability to drive play better, albeit less goals (he also doesn't get to play with the best player on earth either)

His contract is at most like a 1-1.5M overpay, which is worth about one healthy scratch.

Ironically, Marner was the one who said he wasn't engaged this playoff season, and it was actually matthews and tavares who left everything on the ice.

Tavares is a beast, he always gives it 110%, Matthews is starting to (esp defensively) and it really shows because he's been the best 5v5 forward in the game for a few years now, and Marner, hopefully, finds more consistency in the coming years

Same can be said for both tavares and Matthews who always leads the charge.
