Umm what? He’s a big defensive shutdown guy who needs to play with an offensive Dman. He’d look so good next to guys like Rielly, Chabot, OEL, Heiskanen, Werenski, Krug, etc

And? All of them would do all the hard work he gets praised for. Slavin made him famous and hes so overrated. Put him in Florida and he would be nothing. Any high event team and hes not good. Put him in Edmonton and hes nothing. He needs a better partner or lesser competition to be at his best and a system like the one in Carolina

Say what you want about whether pesce is good or overrated or whatever. The fact is he is great for Carolina and they have no need to trade him. If they were going to trade him it’s for a big upgrade to the top 6 forwards. This trade does not do it so there is no point in the canes making this move

Idk if hes worth nylander but thats what theyd probably want. This offer for pesce isnt great but sending 2 picks with him is just too crazy.
