How does Arizona take on Anderson contract. They are having issues paying current team that is right up at salary cap, and only looking to trade Kuemper in offloading trade, not to take on more salary.

I think this is a huge overpay on Toronto's part for that reason, as Andersen is EXACTLY who Arizona wants. He is paid, get this, $1 million for this year. He already got his $4 million signing bonus for the year.

Andersen is only owed 1 million dollars in actual salary this upcoming season. DK is owed 3.5 million in actual salary. Arizona would be saving 2.5 million dollars by accepting Andersen. Were this ever on the table they would jump on it in a second.

That being said, I don't think giving up the picks is a smart move by the Leafs.

Honestly the endless posts from Leaf fans making posts that either trade our defensive depth or Andersen in lateral moves is more annoying than troll posts.
