Tampa hands over a first plus other trades

Created by: kscoop
Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 19, 2020
Published: Oct. 19, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Make Tampa give up a first plus Killorn for prospects/fringe players. If they say no, oh well they are stuck. Some money left over if Chara chooses to re-sign. I think the value for Weegar is close. Maybe swap out the 3rd for a 2nd.

If TB moves Killorn they will have options. Penny on the dollar won’t do it.

Fla asked for Johnsson and Dermott from Leafs for MAc. That won’t get their interest.

Killorn has a modified NTC. TB doesn't have much leverage. They tried to move Johnson, nobody bit. They will trade with whoever wants/afford these guys.

Yeah they aren't giving up a first to move Killorn. He's not just a cap dump, he's a good player. Cheaper and better than Johnson. Never happens.

You never know. Dermott is an RFA. Maybe they didn't want to commit to a deal for a potential higher salary. And Bjork at 1.6 for the next 3 years is better than Johnsson at his contract.

It’s half the league. And probably a third if those teams would interested. It won’t have to be that drastic.

That's fine. They can keep all their players and not re-sign Sergachev/Cirelli/Cernak. And Johnson out produces Killorn in scoring, but yes I agree Killorn is the better player overall.

Lol, Johnsson is 20 goal scorer. Bjork is barely a 20 pt guy. They wanted Dermott in return.

Maybe not with Boston but you bet it will have to be drastic. Otherwise, a trade would've already been made. They sent a 1st to Vancouver to take JT Miller who is far better than Killorn. How quickly we forget.

Johnsson coming off a serious injury. Johnsson played on the PP. Bjork has 15-20 goal potential. Better value with Bjork. What else you got? Bjork plays a fraction of the ice-time Johnsson did.

Guess you forgot because they didn’t.

On June 22, 2019, on the second day of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Miller was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Marek Mazanec, a third-round pick in the 2019 Draft and a conditional first-round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.[18]

2019-Jun-22 Traded from Tampa Bay Lightning to Vancouver Canucks for Marek Mazanec, round 3 pick in the 2019 draft (Hugo Alnefelt) and round 1 pick in the 2020 draft (Shakir Mukhamadullin)

Ya, it was Miller for MM and the 3rd and 1st. Bolts traded that 1st to NJ for Coleman. Bolts did not send a 1st with Miller to Nucks as you said.
