If Price waives his NMC (which he won't), Marc Bergevin will just protect him.

Carey price will be 34 years old next summer making $10.5 million for 5 more years, So why would Seattle even be remotely interested in him?

Doesn't mean that Seattle will be interested in that contract, Price will be trending down soon and that contact will be a killer.

2. He will retire a hab.
3.Tatar will be gone before they trade Drouin for a 2nd rounder.

Just as an FYI in case not everyone is aware but Carey makes his offseason home in Pasco, WA which is about 150 miles from Seattle. It's where he played is junior hockey for the Tri-City Americans. I also believe his wife is from there (but not sure). Anyway, I'm Carey Price fan for sure but I do see him finishing his career in Seattle. MTL's window to win a cup with Price and Weber is in the next three hockey seasons, so by 2022-23. Nobody knows for sure how Carey will age but what he proved during the playoffs this summer is that if he is rested, he can still provide quality goaltending. He would certainly bring leadership to that locker room. And as for the money, I don't think Jerry Bruckheimer and company will be that concerned! The cap is likely to be near $88M by 2023-24.

Price's wife is from Washington State - he spends a lot of his offseason there.

The tri-cities in Washington (which is where his wife is from) are incredibly far from Seattle. And apparently he spends his offseason in Kelowna.

I don't believe there's any sentimental connection between him and Seattle.

I would hardly call 3 1/2 hour incredibly far, which is the travelling time by car. A private plane would get them there in about 40 minutes. He may have a home in Kelowna as well but I'm pretty sure most of his off season time is spent in Pasco!

If you check Angela Price's instagram post from June 29, it was taken at the Tri-Cities airport. He was heading back to Montreal for training camp and leaving his wife and kids behind. It's entirely possible that he owns more than two houses.
