Per Darren Dreger - Paul Byron is NOT on the market

Created by: GMs
Team: 2020-21 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 19, 2020
Published: Oct. 19, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I know he is overpaid, everyone knows that
But he’s a quality bottom six winger who can play on the PP/PK and a good veteran in the room
Bergevin likes him and doesn’t want to trade him

So we can stop sending Byron to OTT

Cheers,

Toffoli need to play on the right side...
So Armia as to go and Lehky playing on the 4th line is a waste

Wish it was that easy. Until the season starts Byron will be traded in every Mon ACGM...

10 to 12 minutes a game on the 4th line is not a waste. Lehkonen and Bryon will play on the P.K so each will get about 13 - 15 minutes a game.
I think Armia can be traded give Poehling a shot on the left side.

Byron is better than lekhonen so either way lekhonen is bound to play 4th line

Nah Byron slowed down a bit, Lehkonen over Byron in my book. Anyway we’ll see at training camp

Bergevin asked Toffoli if he can play the LW and Toffoli said yes. So Toffoli doesn’t need to play RW. If Bergevin took the time to ask him, probably because he might end-up there

Well he was injured quite a bit. Didn’t look the same for the most part but towards the end of the year Byron and Domi looked very fast and solid together. I am anxious to see how he bounces back. I’d love to see him with kk and toffoli

Byron definitely has more finish than Lehky, but Lehky always plays a lot ( playing #1PK helpS too ). Yes, Byron played great at the end of the year but Domi isn’t there anymore. Bringing some offense on the 4th line is good too

Ya I don’t disagree. They’re both great killers too but I just think in my mind it’s best to surround kk with 2 proven 20 goal scorers rather than lekhonen who has had struggles finishing plays

Agreed on that too
It’s just Lehky is my favorite player and I do believe he’ll put 20 goals once in is career Sticking Out Tongue

You never know. Lehky is awesome and the coach loves to reward him from time to time. He is able to play up and down the lineup without Julien having to worry about him being a liability. He creates a lot with his forecheck. Injuries could move him up as well

I agree he doesn't need... but looking at is stats in LA & Van... he scored most of is goal playing RW.
In LA playing LW with Kopi, wasn't ideal and he was not a poist deep in the zone as much as he was on the right side.

Anyway, when Tatar will leave, he’ll play LW top 6 with Drouin leaving Gallagher and Anderson Top 6 RW
